CHRISTmas

It's right in the word my friends. Christmas is about Christ. It's so easy to get caught up in the worldly views and traditions of the holidays and be way too busy, stressed and distracted to remember that we are really celebrating the birth of our Saviour. I can't wait until I can line up to see him one day......which is what this post by Shanae Jones is about. Check out the incredible story and song!

I met Shanae when I went to Hawaii for Christmas in 2008, and although I don't know her very well, I have enjoyed following her blog(s) over the last couple of years. She is great friends with my lovely cousin Angie though! Being in Hawaii and meeting all of the great people there and seeing the friends that Angie and Mike have made over the last few years makes me want to move there so I can experience something like that as well.  It's just not the same in Edmonton. There is no spirit of Aloha and Ohana and everything else that BYU-H and Oahu bring.  There are no oceans and beaches either. But also no tsunamis,which is a plus I guess. My skin is so freaking dry here though - I can't stand it. Oh Hawaii, how I miss you.
